Living Off Campus

You don’t have to live on campus to take classes at Harvard this summer. There are many resources online to explore if you are interested in living off campus.

If you are interested in living on campus, please visit Housing Requests for more information.

Off-campus Accommodations

Harvard University Housing

Harvard Extension School degree candidates are eligible to sublet a Harvard University Housing room or apartment during the time of their degree candidacy. To find a sublet, visit HarvardHousingOffCampus.com, click on the “Housing” tab, and filter by “HUH Sublet.”

You and the resident from whom you are subletting will then need to submit a sublet application to Harvard University Housing. Learn more about the sublet process.

You may also visit the Harvard University Housing resources page for information regarding private market housing options.

Harvard Divinity School

The Harvard Divinity School has a limited number of rental apartments available to Harvard-affiliated students during the summer.

Sublets

You may also secure a sublet within an easy distance of campus. The following websites have postings of available rooms and apartments:

The rooms available are often considerably cheaper than a hotel and offer the added amenities and privacy of a house or apartment. Be aware of the risks involved with using any of these sites, and be sure to do the proper research before committing to an arrangement.

High School Students

Secondary School Program students should discuss options with a member of the program staff.

Pre-College Program students must live in on-campus housing.
