Students in Need of Accommodations

If you have accommodation needs due to a disability, be sure to discuss your needs with the Accessibility Services Office before embarking on a study abroad program. We strive to ensure a valuable and rewarding abroad experience for all students.

Studying abroad can be an important part of your educational experience at Harvard. It is important for students to recognize and understand that although the University provides reasonable assistance and support to facilitate participation of qualified students in its programs (including students with disabilities and health impairments), some of our programs are located in parts of the world where accommodations may not be readily available.

To ensure the best possible outcome it is vital that you contact the Accessibility Services Office staff about any specific needs and functional limitations you may have as soon as possible. The Accessibility Services Office collaborates with the Summer School and students studying abroad to foster safe and equal participation in their chosen program.

Request Accommodations

To make your request, submit a copy of your documentation and a request-for-accommodation form to the Accessibility Services Office by April 8.

Please note: Accommodations do not automatically transfer from Harvard College. Harvard College students must register with the Summer School Accessibility Services Office.
