A Day in the Life: A Conversation with Recent Harvard Summer School Students and Proctors

Join us for a free virtual panel discussion, featuring students who joined us this past summer to attend the Harvard Summer School Pre-College Program and Secondary School Program, as well as one of our program proctors. Our panelists will share their favorite memories, offer advice, and answer your questions about what it is like as a student in Harvard’s college programs for high school students.

Meet Our Panelists

Alexis B., Pre-College Program Proctor 2024; Pre-College Program Student 2021, 2022

Alexis first attended Harvard Summer School as a student in the 2-week Pre-College Program in 2021 and 2022. She is now an undergraduate student at Michigan State University pursuing a degree in Women’s and Gender Studies. In 2024, Alexis returned to Harvard Summer School to serve as a Proctor for the Pre-College Program, where she mentored students through their personal and academic development and built lifelong connections with the other Proctors.

Daniel P., 4-Week Secondary School Program Student 2024; Pre-College Program Student 2022

Daniel first attended Havard Summer School in 2022 as a student in the 2-week Pre-College program in 2022, and returned in 2024 as a student in the 4-week Secondary School Program, where he studied astrobiology and economic inequality.

Amy P., 7-Week Secondary School Program Online Student 2024

Amy is a Canadian IB student who joined the 7-week Secondary School Program online in 2024, the summer before her senior year of high school. During her program, she took PSYC S-1507, Psychology of Diversity.
